Board of Directors Positions:
We’d like to remind you that we are looking for passionate professionals to join the Virsa Board of Directors. Virsa is a grassroots non-profit organization that provides free programs throughout the Lower Mainland. Our goals are to address the needs of youth and families by providing education, mentoring, and athletic and recreational activities.
We are looking for individuals with an interest in the Social Sciences or experience in the field to assist or run various Virsaprograms. The ideal candidate should have experience working with children, youth, and/or parents. All-Stars Basketball Volunteers:
Do you love basketball and want to help today’s youth? Then All-Stars Basketball program is for you! This program is a collaborative effort by Virsa and the Delta Police Department. This innovative out-reach program aims to create an informal fun environment for youthto be positively influenced by positive role models, while engaging in some friendly basketball. CAPS Volunteers:
Do you feel that communication is vital to the success of a healthy relationship between parents and their children? Virsa’s Child and Parent Success program is built on the principles of supporting parents to develop better relationships with their children. This program is conducted in Punjabi and English and will be run weekly starting in September.
