Easter Seals 24hr Relay:

Do it for the kids! The Virsa team once again came out to show Strength in Numbers to raise over $5,000 for disabled children in the Lower Mainland. The Virsa volleyball team took on some tough competition by the Bobbleheads and gave the defending champs a run for their money! What a great 24 hours and we would encourage more people to get involved in this great cause.

“He Said, She Said” Radio Feud:

Virsa wants to give HUGE props to Dean Atwal and Angelina Rai of RJ1200 & Kid Carson and Nira Arora from the Beat 94.5FM and Hollywood Harv for helping us make our last event so successful. We couldn’t have pulled off such a fabulous event without your support and we sincerely hope we can work together with you to sprinkle more goodness throughout our communities. And of course, we would also like to thank A-Town and the gorgeous venue of Ginger 62 for helping us make these after mixers a reality, as well as Steve Stew who kindly supplied our gift certificate prizes.  In the end, the Beat 94.5FM did take out RJ1200 in our “He Said, She Said” radio feud. Rematch anyone? Here’s what you missed out on from 6 to 9pm…

Game On:

Saturday, July 18th was all about bringing your game to the amazing Museum of Vancouver for Virsa’s “Game On!” tournament to raise money. We had a great show of support and hope to bring more people out to a similar event in the fall. Highlights of the evening? Well, we think it would have to be the fact that a total amateur pretty much “schooled” all the other players that evening to win some big money! Congrats to Mandeep Singh who took home our 1st prize. 2nd runner up was our continuous supporter, Manny Padda, and 3rd runner up was our very own Ted Olak who sits on Virsa’s Board of Directors. Thanks to all of those who participated – it was a beautiful evening, filled with laughter, food, drinks, and some friendly competitive spirit.  We hope to see you at our next event!
