Mandy Khara

Mandy Khara became involved in March 2009 as a Virsa volunteer on the Marketing and Communications Committee. Mandy has been actively volunteering for the last four years. She began volunteering with the Canadian Cancer Society’s Relay for Life event and has held committee positions of Corporate Sponsorship Chair and is currently the Marketing and Promotions Chair. After two years of volunteering with the Tour de Delta, she has been offered a board position as the Director of Youth Ambassador Programs and is excited to start this role in September 2009. While volunteering with these organizations has been incredible, it still felt like something was missing. So, when Mandy was introduced to Virsa and its youth programming initiatives and mandate to focus on the South Asian demographic, she knew this was an organization she had to be involved with and could contribute to passionately, so her volunteerism path has yet again evolved.
