Virsa was founded in 2002 as a reactionary measure to seeing all the tension caused in our communities by gangs, violence, and a general negativity associated with being South Asian. The thought at that time was, “Why not come together, collaborate and do something positive?”

Virsa is born.

Remembering where we come from – our roots, our heritage and why we should be working hard to promote success, positivity and honest values is what Virsa is all about. A large focus of our programs is on youth throughout the Lower Mainland and how we can deliver programs that are relevant and interesting that will help to create great leaders for the future of our communities.

Since 2002, Virsa has evolved many times over and so we’d like to invite you to explore our website and take some time to learn more about us, or reintroduce yourself and hopefully inspire you to get involved.

To continue having fantastic programs available and running, we are always looking for great people to get involved. Be it through program delivery, assisting with events, or perhaps becoming a board member in the future, we want to hear from you. Or perhaps you have a great idea for an initiative we can help you with or collaborate on? Call us! Email us! Come visit us! We were created by the community for the community and we want to ensure that this remains true.

Virsa is made up of an interesting group of people who want to do great things in our communities. Be a part of Virsa – Maximize Your Potential.
